As a special event for the University Bicentennial, this year we will be joining the UC Alumni Association for their Bicentennial Bash. Admission is complementary and registration is automatic with your registration to the Alumni Band Blowout.
Schedule for the evening: 5:00pm - doors open
5:30pm - dinner is served
7:00pm - room is "flipped" into a jazz club (we are welcome to stay)
7:30pm - doors open for the Bicentennial Bash
and... our own alumnus Matt Anklan will be performing with a jazz band in the Arena Club!
Entering the reunion: Because Fifth Third Arena is at capacity, the fire marshall has dictated additional check-in measures for safety and security reasons: When entering the Arena at the lower level NorthEast door, you will he greeted by a University employee who will ask which event you are there to attend. Mention the Alumni Band Reunion and they will show you the way to the Arena Club.
Upon entering the Arena Club, you will check in with the Alumni Band (Kellie Leitz - Treasurer) as you come through the door. After checking in with her, you will check in with another University employee who will sign your in for the Bash and give you your Bash tickets, swag, etc.
Bash tickets: everyone should have received an emailed ticket to the Bash from the UC Foundation. But... if you are coming to the Reunion this is not needed. You will be manually checked in at the door. If for some reason you are running late, miss our reunion, but still want to attend the Bash, you will need to show your ticket at the door to gain entry.
Complimentary coat check will be provided for all attendees. Coats will be checked in outside the Arena Club when you first enter for the Reunion and may be retrieved at any time during the Bicentennial Bash at the main concourse coat check (East Concourse of Fifth Third Arena).
Parking is available in numerous locations surrounding campus, and parking in the Campus Green and Woodside Garges is free for this event. Other campus garages will be open, at their usual parking rates (ie. no discounts, but no elevated event pricing either). Valet parking is only available to those who have purchased an upgraded $100 "Special Access" ticket through the UC Alumni Association.
**please note** due to another event occurring in 5/3 Arena at the same time, entry for the Alumni Band must be at the northeast corner of the arena, near the old Armory Fieldhouse band room. All Alumni Band Blowout attendees must enter through this entrance.
