Our annual business meeting is held yearly at Homecoming. This year we have one major item:

LeAnne Anklan (flute / piccolo). Running for re-election as President. LeAnne has been President for the past two years, and was VIce President for the preceding 10 years. One of her most notable accomplishments was the creation of the Homecoming Reunion event. Outside of the Alumni Band LeAnne resides in Cincinnati and is the General Manager of the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra and volunteers as a board member for the Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra.

Jodi Geiman (trumpet, ’00). Running for re-election as UCBAA Vice President. During the past year-and-a-half Jodi has focused on increasing member engagement as well as building our relationship with the undergrad band. Of course her most visible role is the coordination of Homecoming weekend. Outside of the Alumni Band, Jodi lives in Northern Kentucky where she homeschools her two daughters and provides communications support to their family business.

Kellie Leitz (2007). Running for re-election as Treasurer. During her years as Treasurer Kellie has been instrumental in creating processes & reporting for our financial status. Outside of the Alumni Band, Kellie resides in Cincinnati and works for GE Aviation as a Strategic Sourcing Leader focused on Additive Manufacturing. Kellie and her husband, Ryan, also a Bearcat Band alum, have two children, Patrick and Charlie. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, and stargazing with her telescope.

Natalie Ochmann (tenor sax, ’14). Running for re-election as Secretary. During her two years as Secretary Natalie has developed a new Alumni Band website, created promo videos, led our transition to a digital Leaky Bugle, and much more. Outside of the Alumni Band Natalie resides in Cincinnati and is a Program Coordinator for UC International, where she is responsible for marketing, communications, and design for UC’s international and study abroad students.

Devin Kovar (percussion / mellophone, '16). Running for re-election as Governor. Devin has been on the Board of Governors for the past two years. He is instrumental in coordinating our scholarship program annually and also acts as Parliamentarian for the Board. Most recently Devin has led our efforts to update our Constitution and ByLaws.

Amanda LaCombe (tuba, '14). Running for re-election as Governor. Amanda has been on the Board of Governors for the past two years. She currently serves as our instrument & equipment manager. During her time on the Board she has managed the inventory of equipment & led the re-location of our storage cage. Outside of the Alumni Band Amanda is the Lean Leader at Sur-Seal, where's she manages production & distribution expansion projects.

Tim Ochmann (trombone, '15). Running for re-election as Governor. During his time on the Board Tim has assisted with various special projects. Going forward he would like to focus his efforts on helping to establish an ongoing Gig Band for the UCBAA and in increasing our fundraising effors. Outside of the Alumni Band Tim, along with his wife (secretary Natalie Ochmann) are most excited about welcoming their new Baby Bearcat to the family!

Julie Simmons (guard & flute/piccolo, '96). Running for Governor. Over the last 20 years, Julie has been involved in several organizations, both community based and professional, where she has held multiple leadership positions. She is looking forward to bringing her experience to support the Alumni Band. She and her husband own a promotional items business, have a 13 year old daughter and two dogs, and live on the West Side of Cincinnati.

Ben Trubach (clarinet, '18). Running for Governor. Ben served three terms as President of Band Council where he worked alongside the Alumni Board on multiple items. He helped coordinate Dr. Frenz's retirement celebration (2016), sat on the committee that eventually recommended Mr. Nichter's hire (2017), & received the Mr. Bearcat award in 2018. A recent transplant to Milwaukee, Wisconsin Ben lives downtown & works as an Estimator with Gilbane Building Company.
